Connecting Bybit

Follow these steps carefully to generate a Read-Only API key from Bybit and connect it to Alara.

1. 1. Log in:

   Go to Bybit.com and log in.

2. 2. Find API Settings:

   Go to Profile Icon -> "API".

3. 3. Create Key:

   Click "Create New Key". Choose "System-generated API Keys".

4. 4. Configure Key:

   Name the key (e.g., "Alara_Read"). Select "Read-Only" permissions.

5. 5. Select Permissions (IMPORTANT!):

   Make sure "Read-Only" covers needed info:

   • Check boxes for reading Orders, Positions, Trade History, Wallet Balance (or similar items like Contract/Spot Trade).
   • DO NOT CHECK ANYTHING ELSE (No trading, no withdrawals).
   • (IP restriction is optional).

   Click "Submit".

6. 6. Security Check:

   Enter 2FA code (maybe email too).

7. 7. Copy Keys:

   Copy the API Key. Copy the Secret Key (shown only once!). Store both safely.

8. 8. Enter in Alara:

   Go to Alara Dashboard -> Connect New Exchange -> Select "Bybit". Paste API Key and Secret Key. Name it. Click "Connect".
